The Atlantic mists are clearing, the gorse is turning a brilliant gold, and there is a definite "hum" of excitement in the air! Here at St. Ives Bizzy Bees, we’ve been busy behind the scenes getting our beautiful properties—like the tucked-away Willow Bungalow—spick, span, and ready for your arrival.
Whether you are a regular visitor or planning your very first Cornish escape, the start of the season is my favourite time of year. The beaches are pristine, the light is that famous "artist’s silver," and we are ready to make sure your stay is as relaxing as a calm day on Porthminster.
We’re not just managing our own properties; we’re prepping your private sanctuary so you can just turn the key and let the holiday begin.
Adventures on Your Doorstep
If you’re looking for a great adventure, you’ve come to the right place.
One of my absolute favourite ways to start the day is hopping onto the South West Coast Path—it’s right near our doorstep! You can head towards Zennor for some rugged, wild cliffs or take the scenic stroll into St. Ives.
For a real treat, take the branch line train from Carbis Bay; it’s one of the most beautiful short rail journeys in the world, hugging the turquoise coastline all the way into town.
Whether you want to try a surf lesson at Porthmeor or just find a quiet rockpool to explore with the kids, the "great outdoors" here really does live up to the name.
A Taste of the Coast
You can't have a great holiday without great food, and we are spoiled for choice this season.
From scooping ice creams on the beach (where I started my own working life!) to fine dining with a view, there’s a flavour for everyone. For a relaxed vibe, I always recommend grabbing a coffee and a pastry at Lilliput Stores before heading to the beach.
If you’re after something more substantial, the local pubs are firing up their kitchens with fresh, local seafood that tastes like it was caught ten minutes ago.
Of course, no trip is complete without a proper Cornish cream tea—just remember, it’s jam first down here if you want to eat it proper!

At the end of the day, our mission at Bizzy Bees is helping you create those "smack-bang" perfect memories that stay with you long after you’ve headed up the hill and away from the coast.
It’s about the sound of the bubbling stream under the bridge, the smell of the salt air in the garden, and that first "Ohhh" moment when you see the sea.
